About samelobby.gg
samelobby.gg answers one question: were you ever in the same lobby as a pro? Type a FACEIT nickname or a Steam profile, and it checks everyone you have played with or against for Counter-Strike and Dota 2 pros, and for famous people who play FACEIT.
What you get
- Every pro you met, one card each: when you first met, whether you were teammates or opponents, your record together, how old they were and what level they were at the time, and the team they played for back then.
- Famous people you met, such as footballers, rappers and streamers, in a list of their own.
- Match rooms: the full scoreboard of any FACEIT match, including old CS:GO rooms that faceit.com no longer opens, with everyone's level at the time, who queued together and where each player is now.
- Pro pages for the 1,000 most relevant pros: their teams, their FACEIT career, the nicknames they have used and the pros they play with most.
- Pro gear: the mice, keyboards, mousepads, monitors and headsets the pros use, with the average stats of the pros on each.
How it finds the pros
The pro list is built from Liquipedia's player pages: everyone who played a Valve Major, the all-time top 100 earners and the players of the top teams in Valve's Regional Standings, ranked by Majors, earnings and team rank. The top 1,000 are kept. Each pro is matched by their FACEIT and Steam IDs rather than their name, so a pro who changed nickname, or played on a second account, is still found.
Instead of reading your whole history on every search, samelobby.gg keeps a database of every lobby the pros have played on FACEIT, read once from their own match histories and kept up to date while they play. Finding your pros is then a lookup. For Premier and Matchmaking, it reads the pros' last 100 Valve matches every week and looks for your Steam account in them; for Dota 2, it looks for the pros in your matches through OpenDota and STRATZ.
Where the data comes from

- Premier and Matchmaking lobbies: data provided by Leetify.
- Dota 2: OpenDota and STRATZ.
- Stream recordings: the Twitch API. VAC and game bans: the Steam Web API.
